We are offering two different divisions again this year.
You can choose to play Monday or Wednesday or both. Monday spots are limited to 52 (4 teams) and Wednesday we are hoping to have 8 teams. Registration opens Tuesday,March 24th, and priority will be given to players in the league last year until Thursday, April 2, then opened up to new players.
A waiting list will be created and players will be assigned as spots become available. Players on the waiting list may choose to be on a spare list (to get called if there are players who are injured or away for an extended time). New players may register anytime, but are asked not to pay until requested. There is a $25 fee to join the league for new players, which will be deducted from your full fee once you are assigned to a team.
Again this year we will have official umpires for all of our games. Games will be 8:30 and 10:30 on both days. Monday fee is $85, Wednesday is $115 and both days are $200.
There are two ways to register. While we are encouraging as many players as possible to use the electronic version, we are also providing an in-person option.
1. Electronic – click on the link below to go to the registration page. The link there will take you to the electronic registration form, where you can fill in the details and hit “send”. Your form will be automatically sent to the league, and you will receive a confirmation notice. You can then send an e-transfer to the league account at barrieseniorslopitch@gmail.com or make arrangements to drop off a cheque or cash payment. Please note the electronic link will not work until Mar. 24, 1:00 pm. If you try sooner, you will receive a message that the page is not available. 2. In-Person – Tues. Mar. 24, 1–3 pm at the Barrie Legion, 410 St. Vincent St., Barrie, Ontario, Canada, L4M 4A6. Please print off the registration and waiver forms below, and bring them with you along with your payment – cash or cheques only. Forms will be available for those without access to a printer.
April 7 Pre-season lunch will be served at 12:30 at the Barrie Legion. Options are 1) lasagna, caesar salad and garlic bread or 2) broccoli soup, ham and cheese croissant and dessert for $15. Please pre-book and pay Bob Thornton at registration or make alternate arrangements.
